Video Premiere

Kanye West has recently given the world the official premiere for his "All of the Lights" music video on VEVO. So, I just realized that I blogged about this same song a few months ago. Well the album version versus the leak is very different.

The interlude at the beginning of the video is, awkwardly enough, one of my favorite cuts on "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." I say it's weird due to the fact that you hear no Kanye, or any lyrics, for that matter.  I was disappointed at first that he didn't have the whole team of collaborators in the video, but I understand, now, why he did it his own way. Regardless, it's still an extraordinary piece and the video does it PERFECT justice. Beautiful direction by Hype Williams.

Change of Pace?

I'm thinking that the blog needs a new direction... a new element or something. I'm not sure what I want to change. I think I may do more fashion stuff and a bigger variety of music. I recently got a Tumblr and it made me think. Since I really don't give comments on those posts, I should work harder on the blog, where I do give my opinion. And I should have a broader range of topics. So I think I'm going to change the name of the blog and do some more work on it tonight until I'm happy with what it represents. Big changes to come.

I'm Baaaaack

So I think that Ludacris said it best with the Girls Gone Wild lyrics: "Gone for a minute, now I'm back again. Back to break backs again." I've taken some time off from posting. It wasn't by choice, but necessity. School was getting hectic, winter break was anything but relaxing, and now school's been back for about a month. I can't make a promise that I will be blogging on a regular basis, but it will defnitely be more frequent than it has been. Four months away from you guys has been far too long!
